Managing Audio Files

Some tips for naming and managing audio files generated when recording audio in P5, bouncing, or freezing tracks.

Before recording on a new track give the track a label. The label will be referenced in the audio folder.
When bouncing a track the corresponding audio file will be named using the track label.
When you freeze a track, the corresponding audio file will be named using the track label, though it is a temporary image of the track.
When un-freezing a track its corresponding audio file will be deleted.
When a project is saved using the "File | Save As" there is a checkbox to save audio to a separate sub-folder and a checkbox to remove unused patterns from the project. Use these two options and save the project to a different directory to have a new folder hierarchy that contains only the files used specifically in the project. All other audio files will be left in the original directory but the new directory will be "clean".
